[St. Albans, Vermont] — November 1 — A simple coat can do more than ward off the winter chill—it can wrap someone in kindness. This season, the Rotary Club of St. Albans is kicking off its annual “Share the Warmth” Coat Drive, inviting neighbors, businesses, and friends to help bring comfort and warmth to local families in need.

For the month of November community members can drop off new or gently used coats, hats, gloves, and scarves at collection sites in various communities.. Every item collected will find its way to a local child, parent, or senior who could use a little extra warmth this winter.

“When temperatures drop, compassion rises,” said Karyn Rocheleau Past President of the Rotary Club and very instrument in the success of the Coat Drive.]. “‘Share the Warmth’ isn’t just about coats—it’s about community. Each donation is a reminder that we take care of one another here.”

Last year, the Rotary Club helped distribute over 1,000 coats and winter accessories across various communities in our County. This year, the goal is to  exceed 1,000 coats—because no one should have to choose between staying warm and making ends meet.
