BFA St. Albans Rotary Interact
We are working with a local high school and their students to support the Interact Club in St. Albans.

What Is Rotary Interact Club About?

BFA Interact, our St. Albans Rotary-sponsored service club, empowers high school students to lead meaningful projects that benefit the community
With 15,000 chapters globally, Interact helps over 300,000 young people build leadership skills, form lasting friendships, and become civic-minded problem solvers. We hope they will also become Rotarians that will help to shape not only our local but international communities.

Our chapter has involved hundreds of students (70 currently) in initiatives like annual coat, blood, and food drives, and collects over 1,000 coats each year. Interact members also serve as ambassadors, welcoming new students through Move Up Days, tours, and outreach events. Recent projects include the Prom Dress Drive, Ada’s Closet renovation, Cereal Drive, and a senior voting drive.

The mission of Interact is to provide opportunities for young people to work together dedicated to service and community understanding.

The St. Albans BFA Interact goals are:

1. To recognize and develop constructive leadership and personal integrity.

2. To encourage and practice thoughtfulness of and helpfulness to others.

3. To build respect for the rights of others, based on recognition of the worth of each individual.

4. To emphasize acceptance of individual responsibility as the basis of personal success, community improvement, and group achievement.

5. To develop life skills including self development and time management.

6. To provide opportunities for gaining increased knowledge and understanding of community, national, and world affairs.

7. To open avenues of personal and group action leading to the advancement of international understanding and goodwill toward all peoples.
