What We Do

The Rotary Club of St Albans is one of the oldest Rotary Clubs in Vermont, with over 50 members, drawn from men and women living in, or whose business or organization serves, the community of Franklin County.

Who We Are

The Rotary Club of St Albans is part of Rotary International, a global charity with over 1.4 million members in over 200 countries. Since 1924, we have been working with people from different cultural backgrounds and professions to promote peace and understanding around the World. Rotary Club of St. Albans members come from a wide variety of backgrounds, each contributing valuable time, experience, and knowledge to create lasting change. We come together as one big team working towards a shared goal. Through respect, dignity, and kindness, we hope to make an impact on the local community by providing access to the necessities including food, shelter, healthcare, and education.

7 Core Principles of Rotary

What We Do

The motto of Rotary is ‘Service Above Self’, and our work revolves around 7 key focuses that promote positive action on a local, national, and international basis.
The Rotary Club of St Albans has made a significant and lasting impact on the local community through a wide range of charitable initiatives. Recent projects have included vital food collections for families facing food poverty, dedicated support for the elderly, and educational programmes designed to empower young people and expand learning opportunities, supporting investments in outdoor activities. . In addition to our local efforts, we have partnered with and assisted other clubs and community organizations through various service projects, extending our reach and impact. Our focus remains on building stronger, more resilient communities not only in St Albans but throughout Franklin County—guided by the Rotary principle of “Service Above Self.”

Additionally, our members have taken part in or financially supported international initiatives like helping to provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene to communities overseas, assisting with healthcare programs such as working to eradicate polio, and providing assistance and aid to countries with conflict and natural disasters.

We Are People of Action

We are People of Action, ready to turn our ideas and vision into lasting change, by creating opportunities, supporting others and being active in the community. We know that it takes more than just ambition and determination to bring about real change; it requires a commitment from all of us.

The power of collective action is immense. By working together, we can create positive outcomes for everyone involved in the process. Our mission is to cultivate an environment where everyone feels respected, heard and valued. We strive to ensure that our vision for an equitable future can become reality.

We are passionate individuals who want to make a difference in the world through meaningful work that affects real people with real results. Together we will continue to shape a brighter tomorrow for our communities and those around us – one opportunity at a time!
